Copyright © Howard Ng http://www.EBizOutlook.comAccording to U.S. Department of Commerce, they find that e-commerce is growing by about 25% per year. With this growing rate, few people can ignore the opportunity that the internet offers. Internet home based businesses can generate a considerable sum of your income. Thus, it is important that you understand how they work and how you can make such internet Home-based businesses work for your benefit. Internet home-based business can help you earn a salary, and they can help you earn residual income as well. Residual income, of course, is money that you earn for a one-time effort, as opposed to a salary, which you only receive as long as you keep working. Residual income allows you to profit from something that you have already accomplished in the past, such as when an author receives royalties on a book that he has written, even if that book was written twenty-five years ago. If your interest is earning a salary, you will have no dearth of opportunities online. As long as you have a specialized skill, you should be able to find work. Telecommuting is now an accepted practice for most companies, so take advantage of it. You can sell your personal services on both a salaried basis and a freelance basis, whichever you prefer. Both have their specific advantages and disadvantages, so choose carefully. If you become a salaried employee, for example, you will necessarily have less control of your time, but a more regular income. A freelancer, on the other hand, only gets paid for the work he actually finish. On the order hand if your interest is residual income, then affiliate programs should be an important part of your strategy. Affiliate programs, as you know, are programs that allow you to advertise and sell someone else's goods and services for a commission. Unlike what most people think, to be successful in affiliate marketing does require lots of work, especially in the beginning. Finding a good partner merchant and selecting a reasonable compensation package takes quite a bit of research, something that most people are unwilling to do. However, it is crucial to set yourself on the right path at the get go. It is worthwhile to spend some time on it. As with every business matter, being able to trust you partner is important, so look up on your partner merchant's record. If you know anyone who has done business with them before, be sure to ask them about the experience. You might even sacrifice higher returns with a relatively unreliable company to work with a more established one. Once you have established a relationship with a suitable partner, all that's left is developing your site. There are many resources on this on the internet, be sure to look them up. Site building software is also available, so check that out if you feel that you need more assistance. In terms of web hosting it is very inexpensive nowadays. Make sure you work with the ones that have good reputation and very good uptime record. YOu don't want your site to have problem when you are doing major product launching. Check out Hostgator.com and Host4Profit.com yourself. I have good experience on both. As long as you put a good effort into the creation of your site, and have strategies to drive traffic to your website. Your internet home based business will flourish, and you’ll stand a good chance of earning through it for years to come. On top of it you will enjoy the freedom of being a Internet Home-based business entrepreneur. Copyright © Howard Ng http://www.EBizOutlook.comWhen you think of MLM, Multi-level Marketing Business, probably the first come to your mind is a lot of residual income. Home based MLM business has been around for decades. In fact, it's probably safe to say that virtually all MLM business is, or at least certainly can be, home based business. That's often the beauty of the MLM industry and the primary reason for those who join an MLM Business as a distributor. Nutralite was the first home based MLM business. It is now a subsidiary of Amway. Nutralite, founded in 1949 by Jay VanAndel and Rich DeVos, was the pioneer of network marketing and the first one in the food supplement and vitamin sales industry. Because of the long standing internal struggling between the manufacturing subsidiary and the marketing folks, in 1959 VanAndel and DeVos decided to create a whole new company as a resolution. This was how Amway was form. Amay became the first national home based MLM business. Amway bought the Nutralite product and firm in 1969 and has long retained its title and domiance as the largest MLM business in the world, home based or otherwise. Viewing the Amway success, other home based MLM business ventures soon cropped up, including those not so reputable. A scam called the Ponzi scheme, actually developed back in the 1920's, was redesigned to look like an MLM but designed to deliver profit to only the designers and the con artists running the scam. This home based MLM business look alike came to be known as a pyramid scheme. The basic difference between a legitimate home based MLM business - one that can and does actually reward every hardworking distributor with commissions on the products they sell - and a pyramid scheme is that there is a product that does pay profit to the seller. A pyramid scheme is solely about rewarding those at the top of the pyramid heap. In a pyramid scheme, which, by the way, is illegal, the scammers lure others to join what they present as a legitimate home based MLM business by telling them of hefty profits quickly and ask that the victim and would-be distributor, send payment for the products to sell. In a true home based MLM business there is also typically an upfront cost for a sample box of products to start selling but those products are legitimate for sale products. In a pyramid scheme, what the would be entrepreneur gets for her or his payment, is the information on how to present other would be distributors with the lure of quick dollars, take their money and send them the very same instructions on luring others. There is no product in a pyramid scheme. With this knowledge of the difference between a legitimate MLM Business and an illegal pyramid scheme, you can make a better choice when you were presented another income generating opportunity About the Author:Howard Ng, Los Angeles, CA, USA ----------------------------------------------------------------- One of the fastest growing online HomeBiz opportunity Please join Success UniversityAlso check out Work At Home Info Center-----------------------------------------------------------------

Copyright © Howard Ng http://www.EBizOutlook.comBeing able to be your own boss and make a decent living is always part of people's dream. Especially after all the big scandal about mega company being dishonest on its accounting practice and bankrupt the company. It evaporates a lot of people’s retirement plan overnight. The dream to work at home is a staple in most people's minds. What most people don't know is that there can be drawbacks to working at home as well. As someone who wants to start your own home based business, you should be aware of these pitfalls, so that you can prepare in advance for whatever inconvenience they may pose. 1. Lack of financial security. Working at home and starting your own home based business carries risk. Unlike monthly stable salary, you will not be receiving a fixed amount each month. There's a large possibility that the compensation you receive will be small in comparison to your regular job, especially at the beginning. The upside, of course, is that you also stand to gain much. Some of the biggest, most profitable businesses today were first small home start-ups. Companies like Microsoft, The Body Shop, and Coca-Cola are examples of companies that were first run from the proverbial garage. Reward is always in direct proportion to risk. 2. Having to take charge of your own time. Time can either be put to good, profitable use, or it can be wasted. If you are not a disciplined person, then you might have a tough time making the venture work. After all, being at home means that you are comfortable – perhaps too comfortable. You can surf the net, watch TV, fix dinner, play with the kids, shoot some hoops, talk with your friends, read a book, take a nap – there are so many things that threaten to eat up your time when you’re at home. If you really want to work at home, you should first make sure that you could carve up a good amount of time to spend on your business. You should have the ability to set a schedule and stick with it; otherwise you might be heading for financial ruin. However, if you are the kind of person who is willing and able to set your goals and work towards them, then having control of your own time is an incredible advantage. You will be able to set your priorities, manage your tasks, and minimize the waste of your time – things that are difficult to accomplish when you are in someone else’s employ. 3. Potential isolation. Because you are not forced to interact with other people, you might fall into a tendency to cut yourself off from most daily interactions. This is a danger that those with more conservative or shy personalities face. To counteract this, you simply have to allot a portion of your time to meet friends and meet new people. Never get too engrossed in your work to the detriment of your social life; you'll just suffer in the end. Don't let this little list discourage you from taking the plunge! That's exactly what most people do, which is why you don't see a whole bunch of truly rich people in your neighborhood. Scan down this list and fix in your mind how you intend to overcome these obstacles in your path to riches. Knowing your weaknesses is strength – never forget that. Like anything else, work at home does provide you some disadvantages and advantages. You just have to focus on the primary motivation and move towards your goal one step at a time so that you will be able to work at home and enjoy the fruits your have plant. Copyright © Howard Ng http://www.EBizOutlook.comStarting a home-based business always looks like a dream come true. However, there are always challenges associate with anything that is worthwhile to pursue. A home-based business entrepreneur generally starts out prepared with a business plan, plenty of capital, knowledge of the product or service she or he is selling, a good Web site, a marketing and advertising plan, and the means to get the product or service to market. On the other hand there are a few that the home-based business entrepreneur simply did not think of. While these can be annoying and troublesome, they don't necessarily mean that the entrepreneur has to put aside his or her home-based business idea. Two common issues that can arise in a home-based business are zoning restrictions and noisy neighbors. Someone may have moved into an area before they decided to become an entrepreneur and open a home-based business. Now he or she finds out the zoning may be a problem. He shouldn't panic. The first thing is to check the zoning ordinances. The primary issues with businesses based out of the home are neighborhood disturbances caused by the business - clients making noise, coming and going at all hours, taking up parking space on the street. If an entrepreneur has a home- based business that does not typically have clients coming by, there usually is not an issue. Examples of this might be online store businesses, writers and editors, graphic artists, virtual assistants, and services that go out to their customers like landscapers and errand services. Even if the entrepreneur should find out that the home based business is restricted by zoning it's still quite possible to talk to the neighbors, get their okay and then go through the proper government channels to get a permit for conditional use or a zoning variance. Noisy neighbors can be a problem for an entrepreneur with a home based business, and if it's just a question of loud rock music the resolution is to ask nicely. If that doesn't take care of it there are law enforcement options. If, however, there are perfectly allowable things out of doors, such as lawn mowers, a child care center down the street, the neighborhood pool party, and so forth, that the owner can't do much about there are things that help mute the noise. Something as simple as rearranging furniture, or lined and weather-stripped drapes could help considerably. A more expensive option, but one that would allow the entrepreneur to still view the beautiful outdoors while working at her home business would be to replace the office windows with new triple glazed ones that keep out noise. Another alternative is to replace annoying sounds with soothing ones - background classical music, or a fish tank's gurgle can make a big noise difference. Challenges are always inevitable, but with some proactive attitude and some planning, home-based business hurdles are not difficult to overcome. Copyright © Howard Ng http://www.EBizOutlook.comHome business schemes are prevalent everywhere these days. If you surf the web, it seems as though everywhere you look, you are loaded with ads that tell you how to earn more money than what you are making now, often for doing something that is easy and non-consequential. These ads usually look like this: "Be part of one of America's Fastest Emerging Industries!" "Earn hundreds and thousands of dollars a month, from your home, at only ten minutes a day!" "Want to Learn The Best Kept Secret of the Internet Millionaires! Click Here!" We've all seen these types of ads both online and offline. They are appealing, sure. Who doesn't want to earn ten thousand dollars a month for fifteen minutes of work a day? But you have to be careful. Almost all get-rich-quick schemes are designed to part you from your hard-earned money. Not all work-at-home opportunities deliver on their promises. What many promoters of home business schemes won't tell you is that you often have to work for many hours before you earn a single penny. This is dishonesty and misleading at its worst, for by now you should know that there is no such thing as something for nothing. Even if you are operating from a solid home business, you will have to work hard and work smartly if you want to be successful. If anybody else tells you otherwise, watch out. Something is probably not quite right. Ask poignant Questions! Avoiding dishonest home business schemes is strictly a matter of common sense. Since you will be putting your time and money into this venture, you should definitely do some research. Just like what Ronald Reagan said, "Trust but Verify". You do this by asking intelligent questions. Following are some of the questions you could ask to your home business sponsor: What is the entire cost of the program being offered? Dishonest program often carry hidden costs with them. Be sure to check the fine print before proceeding. Ask for all the costs involved in the program, and ask them to clarify exactly what you get in return for your money. What exactly will I have to do? Your tasks must be clearly outlined, with every step clearly defined. Confusion on this point is often the source of future contention. Again, do not be carried away with promises that you won't have to do much to earn your money. If it sounds too good to be true, it most probably is. Will I be paid a salary or will my pay be based on commission? This is another point that can cause trouble. Obviously, the compensation package you receive should be well-thought out and commensurate to the service that you will be rendering. When will I get my first paycheck? Beware of programs that will pay for your services much later after you have done the work. This might cause you short-term financial difficulties. It is always a wonderful feeling to have your own home business and be out of the 9 to 5 rat race. On the other hand you do not want to jump from one predicament and go into another mouse trap. Use your God given common sense and ask good questions, you should be able to differentiate the dishonest home business schemes and scams from the jewel of the industry. Copyright © Howard Ng http://www.EBizOutlook.comAs we all know the biggest partner we have with our Home Business is Uncle Sam, our US Government. Owning a home business yourself will give you certain tax advantage and possible disadvantage. If you work for yourself, it often means that you lose many workplace benefits, such as group insurance, sick leave, paid vacations, etc. However, the government does provide encouragement to those who have an entrepreneurial spirit, and this solace comes in the form of tax breaks. There are many possible tax deductions for home businesses; you simply have to get educated yourself and take advantage of it. First of all, why should you even go through the trouble? Well, because you'll keep more of the money that you earn that way. By knowing all the possible tax deductions that you can take, you'll come away with more of the benefits that your business generates, instead of getting cleaned out by the government. When it comes to taxes, knowledge is Gold and Power. For you home business owner, followings are possible tax deductions and benefits: 1. Home office expenses, including office repairs and maintenance. Janitorial services are deductible if it is necessary to run your business. It also includes waste management and garbage disposal services. Business furniture and equipment may also qualify for deductions in their year of purchase, as long as the amount does not exceed a certain limit. 2. Utility expenses, such as electricity and water. The deduction applies to those areas that are used regularly and exclusively for business. The essence is exclusiveness. You have to support the legitimacy of your claims. 3. Telecommunication expenses. This only applies if you have a separate telephone line for use in business. A single line that is used for both business and personal calls does not qualify. However, if you make long distance calls and/or incur fax transmission fees, those expenses are deductible no matter which type of phone you use. 4. Rent or lease payments. A percentage of your rent, lease, or mortgage interest payments can be deductible provided that you are using the property regularly for business purposes. This item had been a point of contention regarding whether it will make IRS to flag your return and request for an audit. The most important thing is the documentation you can provide to show your legitimate usage. Discuss with your accountant to access the risk and benefit. It is certainly worthwhile to pursue if the tax deduction is significant while the usage is totally legitimate. 5. Employee wages and employee benefits. If you are an employer of labor, you can deduct a portion of your salary and benefit expenses. Employee education and training costs are also deductible. 6. Education costs necessary in your line of work. This applies especially to professionals. Those who need continuing education to maintain their expertise may deduct the cost of this education from their tax returns. 7. Real estate taxes on business property. A portion of real estate taxes are considered deductible by the IRS. 8. Personal expenses. Some personal expenses, when conducted in conjunction with business affairs, are deductible. A portion of your automobile expenses, meal allocations, and travel and entertainment costs may qualify for deduction, as long as they are related to your business. Everything boils down to legitimacy and reasonable usage. Maintaining a good and accurate record is crucial in this event. Document your deposits, income, expenses and deductions. This case, you will be able to substantiate your claim on your home business tax deductions. Since tax laws change quite often and they are rather complex, your money spent on a competent tax professional for consultation will be one of your best investment. This will allow you to claim as many possible tax deductions for home businesses as you can. Copyright © Howard Ng http://www.EBizOutlook.comRunning a Home Business is not as easy as you think. There are a lot of details that you will need to keep track of if you want to be successful. Keep in mind that a home business is not much different from traditional ones. The goal of your business is to be profitable. Here are the 4 basic rules of running your own home business. 1. Know yourself. Do an inventory on yourself and get the assessment of your strengths and shortcomings. It will be crucial to your successful in any endeavor. You'll want to maximize on the former and minimize the effects of the latter. If you are the more linear thinking analytical type, you might consider becoming your own business administrator and financial planner, leave the service department to someone else. But if you are a people person, you might want to handle the customer service section of your home business. Again, focus on what you can do well, and apply that skill to your business. 2. Know your business. Be the expert on your trade and keep yourself up-to-date with all the advances in the arena of your business. Read up on the publications on your trade on a regular basis. Newspapers, trade magazines, and business books might be a good place to start. Remember that it is ideas that make real money. Exercise some creativity, come up a few original ideas, and you will be ahead of your competition. You can always model someone's successful ideas and apply them to your business. By creating new ideas, you might be able to create a niche for yourself, which should be the goal of every business. 3. Know your customers. It is the customer who give you a chance to make a living. It makes sense to treat them like the most valuable person in your life. Study your customers' need. Steven Covey in his book said, "Seek to understand before being understood". This applies to customer relationship too. Try to put yourself in their shoes, anticipate their concerns, and provide them what they want and need. 4. Always under-promise but over-deliver. Amaze people with the level of service you offer, or the quality of the goods that you sell. Provide all reasonable efforts to exceed their expectations. If they want something done by tomorrow, have it done by this afternoon. If they expect a bill of a hundred dollars, give them one for just ninety-five dollars. By doing things a little better than everyone else, your customers will come to associate you with excellence. And who doesn't want to do business with someone excellent? Running a home business is always associate with risk, but it can also be a vehicle for huge rewards. On the other hand, by knowing yourself and your business, and by offering excellent service, you will have a recipe for success. Disregard your fears and take the leap of faith, you will be glad you did when you look back in a few years. Copyright © Howard Ng http://www.EBizOutlook.comStarting as a small home business, your advertising costs could sum up to be a large amount quickly. Obtaining exposure on TV or radio seems far out of reach. Where can one possibly find inexpensive advertising for home businesses? Often times it seems so hopeless that many small home business entrepreneur give up before they even begin. A lot of home business owners are overlooking many inexpensive ways to promote their businesses and increase their sales. Many of these ideas have been proven to work, and require only a little creativity and imagination. Using these suggestions, you should be able to heighten your exposure, without spending more than you need to. 1. Give something for free. People love free stuff. No matter what business you are in, if you can offer something for free, you will most likely get to meet more potential customers. A lot of businesses have found it worthwhile to issue coupons. If you are a service provider, try issuing a coupon for an hour worth of your service. You will be surprised how many will take you up on your offer. If you are engaged in selling products, issue coupons that your customers can use to avail of a discount. 2. Send out appreciation cards. This is a little courtesy that top salesmen have used for years. First, you get some of your customer's personal information, such as their birthdates, anniversary dates, their address, etc. Then you simply send them some cards during their important days, such as when they are celebrating their anniversaries, or when they have a new child. By sending cards to your customers, you make them like you better, making it more likely that they will do business with you. 3. Personalize your receipts. Most businesses use rather generic designs on their receipts. You can take advantage of this opportunity. By getting your creativity flowing and adding a little advertising into your receipts, your company will remain in your customer's minds. Use your receipts to remind customers of what you stand for. Let them of any upcoming events or special offers. This way, whenever your customers run through their records, they'll consider sending some business your way. As you can imagine, there are many inexpensive ways that can help you skyrocket your business. Cheap advertising for home business is available. It only takes you some creativity and some efforts to put it in action. Copyright © Howard Ng http://www.EBizOutlook.comFor many people, working at home is the penultimate dream. After all, many of us dislike our jobs; and perhaps we dislike the amounts we receive for doing those jobs even less. Some of us also have difficulty dealing with our superiors, who may or may not be good people. Given all these factors, working at home, in the peace and comfort of your own abode, seems like an incredibly good idea. If you are thinking of working at home, then you must first consider all the variables that will be involved in your potential decision. Working at home, like working outside, carries its own set of advantages and disadvantages. It would be good for you to scrutinize each argument, and examine how much weight such arguments should have on your decision. Some of the advantages of working at home include: Being your own boss. Most people resent having to work for the benefit of someone else. We are all naturally selfish; we want our work to primarily benefit us. As an employee, your work primarily benefits the company that you work for, and your boss. You receive a salary, but the amount you receive does not correspond to the full value of the labor that you rendered. Being in charge of your own time. It is frustrating to have your time subject to the caprices of others. How many fathers have missed their son's baseball or football games because they had to attend an important meeting? Working at home means that you are the only one who takes control of your time. You can do what you want to do, when you want to do it. Possibility of large gains. As we've mentioned before, when you work for a salary, you only receive a portion of the value of the service you rendered. But if you own your own venture and are working at home, you not only receive the fruits of your own labor, you have the possibility of receiving the fruits of another's labor, such as when you hire your own employees. If your business takes off, then you have a chance to earn more money in a year than you otherwise would've gotten throughout your entire lifetime, had you stuck with your regular job. Being able to choose your associations. Not being stuck in an office means that you won't have to put up with people that you can't stand. Instead, you can choose who you want to do business with, and ignore those who aren't as relevant. Now, working at home is not a financial cure-all. In fact, you can expect to have a rough time, especially at the beginning. However, as long as you stay disciplined and do the work that you have to do, you can expect your venture to grow, and your profits to grow as well. All of us, no matter what our profession or nationality, want a little more out of life than what we actually have now. Working at home seems like the answer to so many of our problems. We ask ourselves, "What would life be like if I didn't have to wake up each morning and spend the day doing something that I don't like? How would I feel if I could work at home?" I can answer that question. You would feel great. If you didn't have to wake up each day to go to work, you'll have a terrific time, assuming that you didn't like your work in the first place. If you love your job and have a rip-roaring good time each day, then you probably don't need to read the rest of this article. This article is written for those who are undecided about one thing: the decision to keep their current job, or to start working at home. In other words, those who want to work at home. Decision, decisions. If you decide to work at home, you are in effect trying to become self-employed. Or an entrepreneur, if you will. This decision should not be taken lightly. It is not for everyone. A home based business, as comfortable as it may seem, carries a significant amount of risk with it. There is always a possibility that the business will fail. However, if you make good decisions right from the start and set a solid foundation for the years ahead, you will drastically increase your chances of success. Starting your own home business is risky; there's no doubt about it. But you also stand to realize massive gains, perhaps even amass a fortune! There are many advantages that will accrue to you if you decide to work at home. For many, not having to go to the office daily is incentive enough. After all, haven't you had the experience of wanting to sleep for a few more minutes, but had to get up because you were late for work? We've all experienced that. When you work at home, you begin to take charge of your life. You take control of your time and decide how to spend it. Of course, this can be a two-edged sword if you are not the disciplined type. You might end up procrastinating on your tasks, or perhaps not doing them at all. This will most certainly cause your work at home bid to fail. So before you decide to try and work at home, ask yourself, are you disciplined enough? Being at home will present you with countless opportunities to shirk your work. Unless you can trust yourself to do the right thing, you're better off earning a regular wage. But if you're the type of person who has the courage and the will to go after your dreams, then by all means! You're the type of person who has nothing to lose by working at home, and everything to gain. Copyright © Howard Ng http://www.EBizOutlook.comWhy a Budget is Important? Striking out on your own can be a very tricky proposition. Starting your own business may be exciting, but it is also inherently full of risk. Unless you get yourself going from the right foot, then the chances of achieving success are very small. Conversely, however, as long as you have the right foundation, and keep working on that foundation, success is almost an automatic thing. It is vital that you run your home business on a budget, if you aspire for long-term success. One of the most important parts of running a business is operating on a budget. Many people (mostly unsuccessful ones) prefer "going with the flow" than with actually setting goals and budgets. For the most part, this attitude is a mistake. Unless you have an incredible memory and unnatural clear-sightedness, planning for both the present and the future is a prerequisite to success, no matter how you define that elusive concept. Because this is an article about home businesses, then we will begin by defining success as the growth and eventual profitability of your particular business. By "growth" we mean that the business will expand, hopefully outgrowing your home and eventually participating in the corporate arena. By "profitability", we mean that the business will become a cash-generating machine, so much so that you attain financial freedom, and never have to work a single day again if you don't feel like it. This article argues that in order to achieve growth and profitability, discipline is needed, and plans must be made and acted upon. Crafting a Budget One of the most important plans you must conceptualize is that of your budget. Many businesses, even if they have great ideas and wonderful products, still fail for lack of proper planning and efficient allocation of resources. Avoid this mistake. Only a home business on a budget can ever be truly successful. First, make it a habit to write down, on paper, both what you earn and what you spend, on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis. This is the least that you can do. Look over what you have written down and you will easily see the areas that can be improved upon, especially in the expense column. It is astonishing how many expenses we never notice until we get them down in paper. As the business grows larger, accounting knowledge might be needed. If you have neither the time nor the inclination to acquire the knowledge yourself, find someone who does. Second, analyze the figures and determine the areas where you can cut costs, and where you should add capital. Every business has areas that generate above-average returns, as well areas that under-perform. As much as possible, redirect your resources to the projects and ideas that give you the most return. This is common sense. Lastly, stick to your budget. A plan not acted upon is essentially useless, and a budget not followed is as useful as a page of doodles. Once you've written down and finalized your budget, do not make any departures from it unless absolutely necessary. Be discipline! It's the only way you'll get anywhere. By running your home business on a budget, you are securing your future at a small expense to the present. Copyright © Howard Ng http://www.EBizOutlook.comBuilding your own home internet business is not simple, but it does not have to be difficult either. You will have to follow a few simple steps to get started, but what you do after that is generally up to you. Like traditional businesses, internet home businesses must be built not only on a solid fiscal foundation, but on a solid conceptual one. What that means, of course, is that you should think the matter through before you begin. First, you should clarify in your mind the reasons why you want to start your own internet home business. What do you hope to gain from the business? Starting your own venture will carry different sets of advantages and disadvantages from when you were an employee. For instance, you probably won't be drawing a regular salary through your online venture, especially in its early stages. In fact, you probably won't be making much money at all in the beginning. This is something that you need to understand before you make the leap into your internet home business. Unless you have sufficient savings to tide you over while the business is growing, it's probably not wise to quit your job. If possible, try to build the business while still retaining your current sources of income. Second, ask yourself, what will you have to commit to the business in order for it to succeed? Take note that you will have to pay a price in terms of time, money, and energy. If you are not willing to pay that price, if you don't feel like putting the work in, then it would be best to stick with your current job and not waste your resources. However, if you are excited about the potential rewards that having your own business can bring you, then take a little bit of time to honestly answer these questions. It might seem like you're "getting nowhere" when all you're doing is thinking, but that's simply not the case. The more crystallized your ideas are, the less prone you will be to making mistakes. Third, take personal inventory. A home business is very much a reflection of its owner, and ideally should be built on the interests and particular skills of its founder. It would be helpful if you ask yourself a series of personal questions, such as "What do I enjoy doing?" or "What gives me fulfillment?" The very best advice that can be given to you is this: Do something that you love. You will most likely excel at it. If you are deeply passionate about something, then you will be able to work on it day in and day out, even if you do not receive much monetary compensation at the beginning. If you enjoy your work immensely, then chances are high that somewhere down the line, you will earn a good amount of money in that field. Take special notice of your particular talents and skills. How can you leverage what you have to produce something that others want? An internet home business can be a significant source of income, so you should not neglect it. Just remember to do the requisite mental legwork before you get started. Unless you prepare for what's ahead, you can expect problems to sprout up and derail you About the Author:Howard Ng, Los Angeles, CA, USA ----------------------------------------------------------------- To find the best home based business ideas and opportunities so you can work at home Please visit: http://www.EBizOutlook.comOne of the fastest growing online HomeBiz opportunity Please join Success University-----------------------------------------------------------------

Copyright © Howard Ng http://www.EBizOutlook.comE-commerce actually began long before most of us would have thought. Many years before PCs and laptops in the home and during mobile travel for work or play made Internet commonplace, e-commerce existed. The first e-commerce occurred way back in 1984, when electronic data interchange (EDI) was made standard through the use of ASC X12 programming. What was important about this was that now companies could reliably complete online transactions with one another. In 1992 Compuserve debuted, offering retail products online to customers for the first time. While this was the first time that e-commerce was enabled for the consumer it was still limited. Consumers had to buy Compuserve, install it on their systems and then subscribe to get into the product. Compuserve did not enable its e-commerce for general public access. Two years later, in 1994, however, Netscape premiered its online services, offering a simple to use Internet browser. An important part of what Netscape offered was the security necessary for sale online e-commerce transactions. It was called Secure Sockets Layer, and is still a crucial part of every e-commerce transaction or online payment. Just one year later history was made with the launch of both Amazon.com and eBay.com. Much different than their current e-commerce look, these two online vendor portals at first allowed online purchases but didn't offer any auction based transactions. In fact, at first all Amazon.com offered was the opportunity to buy books, CDs and other print periodicals. A great part of the reason that e-commerce had not really taken off at this point was because the most common method of getting online, and about all that was available to the public up until 1995, was dial up. It was slow, it interrupted the individual and family's ability to use their own phones and it made e-commerce a cumbersome process. That's when Digital Subscriber Line, now more commonly referred to as DSL, was introduced. Still using the telephone line, it increased the speed of e-commerce transactions and online search and surfing in general, and offered users the convenience of surfing the Web without tying up their phone line. E-commerce began to grow in popularity as a result. Broadband soon became a commonplace offering in homes and offices, offering even better speed, an always on convenience and new technology that made the Internet more attractive. E-commerce grew exponentially. As of 1999 Internet spending swelled to 20 billion dollars. Copyright © Howard Ng http://www.EBizOutlook.comAffiliate marketing is a booming industry. As the internet expands, the opportunity for affiliate programs increase. Today, hundreds of thousands of people are logging into the internet each day. Each of these individuals is a potential customer and we're not even talking about the people who already use the internet on daily basis. Combine these two groups of people, and it is easy to see that the possibilities for affiliate programs are immense, but only if you approach the matter in a particular way. Making money with affiliate programs is not as easy as it seems. Many people entering into affiliate programs have certain misconceptions. Because of the outlandish promises that often made by those who offer them, making money with affiliate programs seems so simple that you wonder why not all affiliate marketers are rich. Before going any further, you must understand that getting involved in affiliate programs is not an effortless path to financial security. However, it can be a better way to achieve your financial goals, depending on your current circumstances. If you are dissatisfied with you job in one way or another, then you certainly should not overlook the opportunity that affiliate programs offer you. Here are two pointers that will help you make money with affiliate programs. Choose an affiliate program that you can sink your teeth on. By this, I mean that you should get started in an area that you naturally drawn to, a subject that you know and love. The reason for this is because the financial compensation you receive at the very beginning might not as much as you received in your previous occupation. Getting involved in an affiliate program is essentially like starting your own home business. You have to expect that the start-up stage will not be easy street. On the contrary, you will probably have to work long hours at the beginning, and perhaps pinch some pennies along the way. All these sacrifices might be too hard to make if you get involved in a business that you do not love. However, if you choose a business area that you are naturally inclined to and your work won't be work at all; it will be a labor of love. Profits will pour in, sooner or later, from a labor of love. Build a content site. A content site is a commonly utilized tool in affiliate marketing. A content site is simply a website that is designed and organized around a specialized theme. The site usually contains education materials and other tools that would be of use to its visitors. These materials and tools are themselves intricately related to the products and services that you hope to sell. You will want to provide concrete information about your goods, and try to persuade your visitors that your goods will be of benefit to them. With a good, well-organized website, making money with affiliate programs is considerably less difficult.
